The PockeTalker 2.0 features a choice of microphones.

The Plug Mount microphone (as pictured) can be used to reduce background noise in loud environments and works best when held a few inches in front of the speaker’s mouth.

A second, built-in, microphone provides a "flashlight" effect when the Plug Mount microphone is removed. This microphone performs best in quiet settings.

The Tone Control wheel helps to improve the clarity of the speaker's voice.

The PockeTalker 2.0 also offers a built-in Telecoil which allows it to function as an amplified receiver in areas equipped with a Magnetic Induction Loop listening system.
